New Ride Share Service Caters To Seniors

Envoy America is a distinctive ride share service that caters to the senior population. It is used for the specific needs of seniors, from going to the doctors office, grocery shopping, visiting relatives, running errands, etc.

Offering a smart alternative to taxi and popular rideshare services like Uber and Lyft, Envoy America is an enhanced rideshare program designed for seniors and those who cannot or should not drive. Instead of the standard curbside  service we are all familiar with, Envoy America provides a true door-to-door experience where the drivers assist their clients in and out of the car, help them grocery shop and provide a valuable service that empowers seniors to live more independently. Beyond just driving, they act as companions for their clients and often remain with them until they are back in their homes.

For example, say a client is having cataract surgery, their Envoy America driver could take the client to the eye surgery appointment, stay at the doctor’s office until the client is finished, drive them home and bring them back the next day for the follow-up visit.

Envoy America is a pay-as-you-go system based on the time it takes to deliver the service to meet every day travel needs such as errands, medical appointments and social outings.

Seniors often have challenges with smart phones and the ever changing technology we experience today. Envoy America schedules appointments the old-fashioned way, the way seniors are used to and comfortable with. They call to make an appointment, no smartphone, no apps, no confusion. There is also the option to make reservations on line.

Many of their clients request specific drivers. Drivers are carefully chosen, go through background checks, are drug tested, most are over 50 years old and trained to provide the highest levels of customer service for the senior community. No cash is required by the customer and Envoy America drivers are not allowed to accept tips. Appointment reservations can be made up to six months in advance by calling (888) 375-5558

The company began operating in Arizona in May of 2015 and is ever expanding. They currently operate in 3 states/6 cities today (Phoenix, Tucson, Houston, Dallas, Tacoma and Seattle) with plans to expand to 12-15 additional markets in 2018. Envoy America is now hiring committed drivers in the first 6 cities and will be hiring 50-80 additional drivers per each new city.
